Los Angeles Jewish Home Dale Surowitz became chief executive at Reseda-based Los Angeles Jewish Home last fall. Prior to that, he served as chief executive at Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center. In 1997, he became chief executive of what was then the Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center, which later was acquired by Providence Health and Services. Then in 2019, he negotiated for Cedars-Sinai Health System to take a 49 percent stake in the hospital. His association with the Jewish Home goes back to his childhood when he visited relatives at its original location in Boyle Heights. He later served on various Jewish Home boards.
