Filipino-American Chamber of Commerce Music Arts Events Annie Nepomuceno became president of the Van Nuys-based FilipinoAmerican Chamber of Commerce’s San Fernando Valley chapter just prior to the coronavirus outbreak in what quickly turned into the chapter’s most challenging year, which included the death of its civically active young strategic planner John Eric Swing, who died from COVID-19. Under Nepomuceno’s leadership, the group adapted to virtual meetings and spun the crisis around to achieve its most financially successful year yet. Born in Iowa, Nepomuceno grew up in Quezon City, Philippines, returning to America in 2001. The Van Nuys resident runs live music business Music Arts Events.
