Women’s Collaborative Mentoring Program Gail Lara is the founder of the Women’s Collaborative Mentoring Program and brings to the position more than 20 years of experience as a business owner and as a small-business development trainer. Her mission is to help underserved women entrepreneurs thrive by providing customized mentoring. Lara also is one of seven small-business commissioners for the city of Los Angeles. Over her career, she has served more than 5,200 business owners. Lara also serves on such boards as the Special Needs Network (autism awareness) and the North Valley Regional Chamber. She helped charter the Speaking Your Business Toastmasters club and now serves as its president. ALMA MATER: University of Hawaii and was the first graduating class at John F. Kennedy High School!
