Mayor of Calabasas The current mayor of Calabasas is no stranger to his office, having previously served five times as mayor beginning in 1998-99. James Bozajian also has served multiple terms on Calabasas City Council since 1997. Bozajian has been committed to guarding the West Valley community against over-development while maintaining the city’s high public safety standards. Bozajian worked as a criminal prosecutor at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for 24 years before becoming an attorney for State Compensation Insurance Fund. He has served on numerous boards, including the Agoura Hills/ Calabasas Community Center and Calabasas-Las Virgenes Historical Society. He also has written local history books: “Calabasas: 1991 to 2016” and the “Citizens’ Guide to Calabasas.” His next edition, “The Other Side of Calabasas History,” is currently in the works.
