Tutor Perini Corp. Ron Tutor founded Tutor-Saliba Corp. in 1972 after a decade of managing the original AG Tutor Co. He transformed Tutor-Saliba from a startup construction company into one of the largest such companies in the United States. In 1997, he took over the management of Perini Corp., a nearly bankrupt international construction company headquartered in Framingham, Mass. When Tutor-Saliba Corp. and Perini Corp. merged in 2008, Tutor became chairman and chief executive of Tutor Perini Corp., which today is one of the largest general contractors in the country.
