Chronicle Business Group The Rev. Zedar E. Broadous formed the Chronicle Business Group in 1996 as a consultancy for entrepreneurs and small business operators. Always interested in economic development, he helped start a valley chapter of the National Black Chamber of Commerce and along with others formed a media development center to provide training in the media industry. He is retired from the U.S. Navy. In 1990 he was ordained a Baptist minister at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of Pacoima, which had been organized by his father. He is on the board of the Valley Economic Alliance and serves in many community organizations. FAVORITE BOOK: After the Bible, “The Republic” by Plato. BUCKET LIST: To increase African American economic, social and political activity and presence, particularly in the San Fernando Valley.
