Valley 200 - 2021-07-19

Lewitt, Hackman, Shapiro, Marshall and Harlan In the year of coronavirus, employment attorney Sue Bendavid was “under the gun,” in her words. As chair of the employment practice group at the Encino-based Lewitt, Hackman, Shapiro, Marshall and Harlan law firm, she published employer-focused newsletters and held webinars and online presentations to help businesses navigate the changing workplace regulations relating to COVID-19. For about 30 years, she has exclusively represented employers in legal matters. Bendavid serves as co-chair of the Labor and Employment Committee at the Valley Industry and Commerce Association. BEST ADVICE: “Keep your side of the street clean.” As a litigator who appears in court and who advocates and negotiates on behalf of clients, I think reputation is key. FAVORITE BOOK: I like historical fiction, so anything in that genre. BUCKET LIST: Getting back to traveling the world for vacation! I miss that.
